Hi, I’m Joanne Jonna, M.A., LPC. I help children, teens, and adults navigate life’s challenges with clarity and confidence. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, empathy, and trust to create a safe space for healing and personal growth.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent a decade as an educator, working with a diverse range of K-12 students. My experience in education gave me a deep understanding of child development, learning differences, and the importance of emotional support in academic and personal success. Learn more about me.
We provide therapy for children, teens, and adults facing:
A fun fact about me - I traveled to Barcelona to earn my TEFL certification, expanding my knowledge of language acquisition and cross-cultural learning. I spent many years teaching third and fourth grade, where I fostered curiosity, resilience, and emotional growth in young learners. During this time, I had the privilege of working with refugee students from the Middle East, helping them adapt to a new culture, develop language skills, and find a sense of belonging.
I trained at Lotus Consulting, PLLC in downtown Ann Arbor where I worked with university students, faculty, and staff as well as members of the broader Ann Arbor community - including individuals, families, business professionals, and those connected to U of M hospital. My work spanned a wide range of concerns from life transitions and anxiety to professional and personal growth. I later expanded my focus to the Reflective Therapy Center in Northville, MI, where I work with children, adolescents, and teenagers, implementing play therapy techniques to help them express emotions, build resilience, and navigate challenges.
Through my work in these diverse settings, I have gained a holistic perspective on mental health, recognizing that healing happens through understanding, connection, and tailored therapeutic approaches.
As a mother of two children, I understand firsthand the joys and challenges of parenting. This perspective helps me connect with families in a meaningful way.
Now, as a founder of Wildflower Mental Health Therapy, I provide compassionate care to help my clients Bloom, Heal, and Thrive!
