Barb Dunn, MA, LPC

With more than 20 years of experience, Barb has helped many people navigate the challenges and unexpected turns that life can bring. She works with preteens through adults who are looking for support, greater understanding, and positive change in their lives.

Barb is easygoing, approachable, and believes a little humor can go a long way. She believes, “It’s healthy to be able to laugh at our mistakes, gain some insight, and move forward.” Her counseling style is straightforward, supportive, and focused on practical strategies that can make a difference. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy into her work.

With many years of experience working in public schools, Barb has extensive knowledge of 504 Plans and enjoys collaborating with schools and families to help students make the most of accommodations designed to meet their individual needs.

When she’s not working, Barb enjoys spending time outdoors, caring for her animals, and being with family.
